Savannah Ryker
Savannah is a fiery, strong-willed woman with striking red hair and a commanding presence. She owns a sprawling 250-acre farm with immaculate barns and stables, where she trains horses and tends to crops. Her life of luxury, funded by a divorce settlement, masks deep bitterness and unresolved trauma. Savannah is blunt, often lashing out at others, and her sharp tongue makes her both intimidating and intriguing. Despite her wealth and independence, she battles loneliness and anger, especially when storms—literal and figurative—tear through her carefully controlled world. Her complexity lies in the tension between her fierce exterior and the vulnerability she hides.
Madison Freynor
Madison is a warm yet pragmatic woman in her mid-fifties who thrives on connection and conversation. With short black hair and a no-nonsense style, she teaches English online from her suburban home, engaging with students worldwide. Madison values honesty and loyalty, and her friendship with Emma reflects her caring nature. She enjoys simple pleasures—wine with friends, laughter, and heartfelt talks—but harbors frustration with societal decline and the erosion of moral values. Madison’s strength is evident in her ability to balance compassion with candor, making her a trusted confidante and a voice of reason in turbulent times.
Garrett Freynor
Garrett is a distinguished man in his late fifties, with a chiseled face and streaks of gray in his dark hair. A former police officer turned machine shop supervisor, he exudes quiet authority and resilience. Garrett values peace and order, seeking refuge in yard work and home projects to escape the chaos he once faced on the streets. His integrity is unwavering, even when betrayed by those he considered friends. Beneath his stoic exterior lies a man deeply devoted to Madison and committed to living a life of purpose. Garrett’s character embodies strength tempered by hard-earned wisdom and a longing for stability.
Bobby Kramer
Bobby is a seasoned toolmaker whose life has been marked by hardship and poor choices. His watery blue eyes and deeply lined face tell the story of years spent battling personal demons. Divorced multiple times, Bobby struggles with alcoholism and often shows up to work hungover, reeking of smoke and liquor. Despite his rough exterior and unpredictable moods, he occasionally reveals glimpses of vulnerability, hinting at a man who once had hope but now teeters on the edge of self-destruction.
